Ballot

There is a lot to be gained or lost depending on the ballot outcome. 

The St James’s Business Improvement District will be set up through the process of a ballot of businesses. To succeed, it must exceed two minimum thresholds, a majority vote in favour by number and a majority vote in favour by rateable value.  

The occupier ballot will be administered in advance of the property owner ballot because current legislation only permits a property owner BID to exist where there is an established occupier BID.  

This will be the business community’s only chance to collectively drive the future of its district. Please, take the time to read the information provided and speak with us before casting your vote.
